proxychains software package provides proxy chains - redirect connections through proxy servers, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install proxychains
proxychains is installed in your system.
Make ensure the proxychains package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep proxychains *
You will get with proxychains package name, version, architecture and description in a table
